Solo Cleric Guide

The Solo Cleric

Take it, when you like to do things only by yourself and you don't like to be helped by other players and still you can farm very well or ever better comparing to other classes. You will kill mobs nearly as good like a Wizard and in addition you have a lot of useful buffs, that will maximize your killing potential. When you're bored you can still join a party, since other people will need the healing and buffs. You should know, that there are few subtypes of this kind of play style - I am talking here about something called hybrid, more info about this you will find in the further part of this guide.

Stats :

* Full INT - the best option. You will deal a lot damage, but of course less then a pure INT Mage (he has self buffs and passives that add Magic Attack - this is why a hybrid character comes in play, but that's not the time to talk about this). There will be available for you a lot of helpful buffs, so leveling won't be hard - you're full self-sufficient here. The only problem with this type of build is MP shortage, but there exist a way to manage with this.

* INT/VIT - my favorite. A bit less firepower than in the option above, but you get more HP and P DEF - so with heal spells you can tank few mobs at once. The MP exist here also like in the build above.

Skills :

You're a killer, so you need to raise skills, that will help you to kill mobs as fast it could be done. At level 40+ you can either stay on Priest path or change into Sorcerer and create a hybrid - you will get a lot of useful spells and buffs and at level 75 you can change back to your normal path; thanks to this you will maximize your killing potential and get a lot of useful skills (stun, freeze) that will help you in PvP.

Level 1-20

Holy Strike [+5] - Your main and only attacking skill, learn it.

Wisdom [+1] - Increase the WIS of the target by 10 points. Your first buff, it's very helpful since it increases the stat that you need at most.

Intelligence [+1] - Increase the INT of the target by 10 points. Another buff, you really need to get it.

Bless Heart [+1] - Increase the HP regeneration of the target.

Mana Control [+5] - Passive skill; increases your MP regeneration.

Level 20-40

Holy Strike [+10]

Divine Judgment [+1; more optional] - Gives 53 damage each second for 6.3 seconds. Get at least level 1, if you want to be a Priest then raise it till lvl 10, in other case leave it at lvl 1.

Fast Heal [+1] - Get it, only level one - you really don't need more.

Holy Barrier [+1] - immortality for 3 seconds. It very useful in pvp or when few mobs attack you at once.

Wisdom [+2] - Increase the WIS of the target.

Shield [+1] - Increase the physical defensive power of the target.

Bless Wind [+1] - Increase the moving speed of the target.

Bless Mind [+2] - Increase the MP regeneration of the target.

Bless Heart [+3] - Increase the HP regeneration of the target.

Enhanced HP [+5] - Passive skill; increases your HP amount.

Mana Control [+10] - Passive skill; increases your MP regeneration.

Support Cleric Guide

The Full Support Cleric

Take it, when you love to heal and buff people, there won't be many problems with finding a party, since at higher levels healers are needed and you can forget about AOE (Area Of Effect - killing few/many mobs at the same time). In guild wars, you will be the first target, because your party mates just won't die if you know what you're doing.

Stats :

* Full WIS - the best option if you want to be ONLY support. You should add WIS, since you really need MP and all other bonuses you get from raising WIS - so add each point into this stat and just prayfor a party.

* Full VIT - This is useful at higher levels, since you will have a LOT hp and huge P DEF, and you can take a lot damage (and heal yourself) before you finally die - of course till you won't run out of MP pots. With a full VIT Cleric you can be a tanker also, because mobs just love to attack the healers, so with a lot of HP and constant healing yourself you can't die, but you will waste a lot money on MP pots.

* WIS/VIT - A kind of hybrid, add point in ratio 3:1 or even 4:1, that means 1 point into VIT every 3/4 levels and rest put into WIS. Here you will have a very good amount of MP and its regeneration and a fairly good HP number and don't forget about more P DEF.

Skills :

Since you want to focus on healing not killing you really don't need any attack type skills, but this is true only in case you will get a party from the start - and this is a huge problem. So you really need to invest some points into damage dealing spells.

Level 1-20

Holy Strike [+1 / +5; depends] - Maximum level is 5, but you really don't need to raise it till this point, sooner you will find a party, that will help you in farming - so level up it till you need it.

Heal [+1] - Add only 1 point into this - this will be your only healing spell till you reach level 20. Keep the sp for Fast Heal which you will get when you change into Cleric.

Wisdom [+1] - Increase the WIS of the target by 10 points. Your first buff, it's very helpful since it increases the stat that you need at most.

Intelligence [+1] - Increase the INT of the target by 10 points. Another buff, you really need to get it.

Bless Heart [+1] - Increase the HP regeneration of the target. Add one point into it - you need buffs.

Mana Control [+1; more optional] - Passive skill; increases your MP regeneration. It's useful and really you should maximize it if you have spare SP points, if not - just get level 1.

Enhanced MP [+5] - Passive skill; increases your MP amount. Definitely rise it till maximum.

Level 20-40

Fast Heal [+1; more optional] - This is your best heal spell at this point. It has a very fast cast time and can be spamed, so you can keep it at first level and leave SP for other skills - when you become a Priest you will get Great Heal which is 100 time better then this.

Group Heal [+5] - Heals all your party members - level up it.

Reverse [+1] - With that skill you can resurrect your party mates and give them back 10% exp they lost, but better try to keep them alive. (:

Wisdom [+2] - Increase the WIS of the target.

Mite [+1] - Increase the striking power of the target.

Shield [+1] - Increase the physical defensive power of the target.

Bless Wind [+1] - Increase the moving speed of the target.

Bless Mind [+2] - Increase the MP regeneration of the target.

Bless Heart [+3] - Increase the HP regeneration of the target.

Enhanced MP [+10] - Passive skill; increases your MP amount.

Enhanced HP [+5] - Passive skill; increases your HP amount.

Mana Control [+X] - Passive skill; increases your MP regeneration. If you leveled that skill before then add some more points into it.

Divine Judgment [+1] - Gives 53 damage each second for 6.3 seconds. Get it, this skill ignores M def of the mobs so it's very useful against Raid Bosses - cast this skill on them and get back to healing.

In case you are a PvP type and at level 40+ you want to do something more in guild wars beside healing then learn the skill below, when you reach level 40 then it will evolve into SLEEP spell.

Angelic Touch [+10, max it] - Decrease the M DEF of the enemy by fixed amount.

This guide is for people for prefer to solo instead of leveling in a party. Please note that this is not a MUST follow build and there are many ways to build ur mage. At the end of this build, u will notice that there will be quite a number of SP left over, thus u might want to put these into other supportive spells so that u may become a hybrid mage.

AoE Ruffian Guide

Hello to all Luna Online players, my character is Melency and I am pround to be an AoE Ruffian.

If you say YES to the questions below, you should try out the AoE route too!

Are you ...
-Bored of playing the typical Pure DEX/STR Ruffian?
-Love to tank loads of mobs while seeing 1 damage coming from them?
-Love the excitement of killing 6mobs at once?
-Love me?(Random)

If so, the AoE Ruffian is for you!

Pros :
Good tanker
Able to AoE
Do not consume alot of potions
Farm well

Cons :
Not very good at PvP
Monster running away might irritate the hell out of you

Interested? Still not sure if its workable? Well let us discuss further.

Stats :
Pure VIT enables you to tank fully, but I didn't try that out to know if it is worth all the points.

A hybrid of STR/VIT enables you to be able to tank and yet still be able to do decent damage.

Pure STR
I will not comment about Pure STR, however, it MIGHT be workable if you are able to afford crazy insane +VIT equips. However seeing that how the game just released, I doubt we will be seeing that soon. Therefore I will NOT totally say is not workable. But just not tested.

Final notes on stats:
Stats wise, its personable preference, I will not tell you exactly which one to choose as this guide is just a skeleton for you to build your character, but the Pure VIT or STR/VIT hybrid will work for any newbies starting out. However, please note that my character itsself is a STR/VIT hybrid and the Pure VIT part is purely base on what I have heard and read on warrior's part.

Race :
Race wise I myself picked a Elf, mostly because of the Def Buff, and that is also when my character is a STR/VIT hybrid.

Humans are workable but I prefer Elf because of its buff and therefore give more tanking abilities. However if you go the Pure VIT route, you could choose a Human for its damage buff. But personally I have not tried that so don't quote me on it.

Skills :
Skills! The part which make or break your character. Here are some of my way of using your skill points.

Level 1-20 (Life of a Rouge)

Light Armor Expertise (MAX/5) - Increases your def of your armor by a %, your main tanking skill. And the good thing of it is, its passive. A MUST learn. Without it, your AoE Ruffian will be a squishy one.

Dagger Mastery (MAX/5) - Increases the overall damage when your using a dagger. This skill will be maxed during your life as a Rouge to make it easier. Your overall normal attack will be slightly increased and it will ease your leveling. No brainer there.

Zephyr (MAX/1) - A 10 DEX boost buff, last 15minutes. This buff boost your DEX by 10 at level 1, the 10 DEX means more evasion, critical, hit rate. Although its just mere 10points. But its definitely worth it for just a few skill points. There for I will say MAX!

Nature Shield(MAX/1) - This is a active buff which gives you 2% increase in def at level 1, however it drains your mana by 5 every few second. So-so at low level but just learn it as you will be loving it at higher levels. However learn your passive def buff before this.

Thats all! Shocked? Yes you heard me, your life as a Rogue will be just this 3 skills. 2 passive and 2 buff. Pretty easy huh. What do you do with the rest of the skill points? Save. You will need them when you change job and those will be helpful, furthermore, all the other skills are not really needed as a AoE Ruffian.

Notes on skills:

Eagle Eyes are debatable as it increases your accuracy, however, so far, my character has no troubles hitting without it. There for I will put this on hold.

Blindhit is the one which increases your critical by 45, this is also another debatable skill, you can add it if you really want but only level it as a Rogue! This somewhat ease your leveling but other then that, its so-so as your character is not a critical freak like a Pure DEX.

Light armor Evasion is yet another one that some might ask, "Why isn't there any points into it?" My answer is simple. Your character does not have points into DEX, meaning it is not meant to dodge and evade, its meant to be attacked with 1 damage onto him.
Therefore I have concluded that Light armor evasion is merely a luxury skill to have and besides, evading is a CHANCE to proc. Tanking with high def is always there. Therefore BE A MAN AND TAKE THE DAMAGE UP YOUR ***!

Bow skills are not added because your a Ruffian. If you ask me why I didn't add them, I will take a freaking slime and stuff it into that head which lacks a brain.

Other skills like the critical damage increase are not added because as I have said, your character isn't a critical freak, your going to AoE, no point adding them if they have low chance of proccing. Your single target active skills are not needed either as you will not use them much when you AoE as a Ruffian, therefore not needed.
Do NOT level your boost dagger, it waste your point and makes you want to smack yourself in the face. DO NOT level it. You have been warn!

Level 20-40 (Be a man, take the damage up your *** Ruffian!)
Once you change job, the first skill that you should be adding would be,

Wind Breaking (MAX) - Its your first AoE skill and you will soon learn to love it. It has not a bad range and not bad damage and not bad chance to cause BLEEDING. Awesome AoE. However do note, this skill have a level limitation before you can level it again. Meaning, once you learn it, you got to be level 24 before you can level it again, then level 27, then level 31 etc.

Light Armor Expertise (MAX/10) - This passive skill further increases your def! As your level and armor progress better, you will really love this skill as it is base on %, the higher your def, the more it adds.

Nature shield (MAX/2) - Now at level 2, it adds 5% def increase. This is also base on % which is why it is not a shabby skill. It drains 8MP per second but still, its not a bad skill to learn and you will love it at higher levels too!

Zephyr (MAX/2) - At level 2 this buff adds 20 DEX and whats best is that it is a cheap skill to learn! 20 DEX is awesome as I have mention, it increases evasion, critical and hit rate. Therefore learn it.

Quick Move (MAX/1) - It increases your movement speed. Not bad. Why not?

For now thats all my character have learn and I have decided to stop adding any more skills until I have decided that its not a bad skill to learn. For now, save your skill points as in the future the higher the skill level, the more skill points it consumes to level it, therefore its best not to have that many skills at once.

Notes on skills:
I did not add Dagger Mastery as I find that it is way too expensive to MAX any more as a Ruffian for a mere damage boost. Your skill points can be saved for better ones.

I also did not learn any active single target skills, but those will be put on hold as some of the bleeding/poison skills might be useful for bossing.

The other skills related to criticals are also not added as your character is not a critical freak. Enough said.

Bows skills are.. Okay I shall not bother even explaining.

Conclusion :
So far my AoE Ruffian is progressing smoothly and I am loving every minute with it, it might not be the best or *Strongest* way of building a rogue, but it is definitely fun and unique when you see people going "WTF?" at your high and uber def and when you can tank as well as other warrior tankers.

2-Handed Warriors (Damage Dealer aka Berserker)

Overview :
You will do the highest damage among warriors but will also take the most damage. A good solo class in the beginning and are great for group training sessions after getting AoE skills.

Race Compatibilty :
Human - 10/10
Elf - 7/10

Stats Build :
Full STR(recommended), Full VIT, Full DEX(not recommended at this time)

Weapons :
2 Handed Swords - faster attack speed
2 Handed Axes - higher critical damage
2 Handed Blunts - higher DEF from passive
(Author's note: all 3 type of weapons have the same attack so just go with one that you like or whichever looks cool to you.)

Job Change :
Fighter -> Warrior -> Merc(Recommended for Humans)
Fighter -> Warrior -> Swordsman
Fighter -> Warrior -> Swordsman -> Rune Knight(Elf)

Skills :
2 Handed Training - MAX (your attack passive)
Sword Training - 5 (leave it at lvl 5. 15sp for 4% attack is ok. 40sp for another 3.75% is not)
Upper Swing - 10 (get to 1 till lvl 30+ when u have extra sp for lvl 40 2nd tier - AoE)
Crash Blow - 1 (or dont get. good for combo with rising strike earlier on or max it if u like to go level)
Enhance HP - MAX (or dont get at all. for me 250~ hp is worth it.
Burning Rage - MAX (humans only. if u have enhance hp, it will help cancel the side effect)
Fighter Heart - MAX (STR buff)
Sword Rapidity - Dont Get (adds attack speed but i dont notice the difference. you will be using skills mainly later on.)
Warrior Form - MAX (this is your 2nd tier attack buff)
Risk Taker- MAX (hp<30% attack increase.)
Wheel Wind -1 at least (AoE for training purposes)
Body Check - 1 (boss or PVP use)
EarthQuake - MAX (for nukers)

Branch : The norm i noticed in the TW version is that most 2h warriors go with AoE skills 1st. Better for training purposes. But if you would like to go level berserker, i guess it is better to add crash blow to the max and leave out rising strike completely.

AoE : Team player. MAX AoE skills first. You will do most of your leveling in a team.

Leveling: Crash blow will be your main attacking skill. If you crit with an Axe, you can 1 hit KO an enemy around your level. More PvP orientated.

Pure Tanker

Overview :
You will find it very difficult to level on your own after monster HP has gone over what Strike Attack can dish out. But on the bright side, every team will need a fighter like you! Mages and even berserkers will not be able to take the damage from mobs and will be counting on you to hold the aggro.

Race Compatibility :
Human - 8/10
Elf - 10/10

Stats Builds :
Full VIT(recommended), Full STR, Full DEX

Weapons :
Swords (faster attack speed)
Blunts (more DEF) - Recommended for tankers
Axe (higher critical damage)
(Author's note: all 3 type of weapons have the same attack so just go with one that you like or whichever looks cool to you)

Job Change :
Fighter -> Guard -> Infantry

Skills :
Strike Attack - get to lvl 1 till lvl 20 get to lvl 6 and max it before lvl 40(your main(only) attack skill)
Provoke - 1 at least(to save your mage/archer/healer and to lure bosses)
Mana Shield - MAX (get it but no need to rush. it will constantly drain sp for more def. useful only later)
Enhanced HP - MAX (max hp passive. recommended for all tankers)
Mace Protection- MAX (if u are full tanker and mace user)
Heavy Armor Expertise - MAX
Blessing Shield - MAX (def buff)
Shield Training - add or don't add(can't really see a difference since block and no block damage = 1) note: may be more useful later.
Blood Leak - add or don't add(i wouldn't recommend adding this since the chances you will be below 30% hp isn't uite high.)

Hybrid Tanker (Jack of All Trades)

Overview :
You will not do as much damage as a berserker but will be able to hold your own in aggro. You will not be able to take as much damage as a pure tanker but you will be more adapt at leveling on your own without a party.

Race Compatibility :
Human - 8/10
Elf - 7/10

Stats Builds :
Full STR(recommended), Full Vit, Full DEX(not recommended)

Weapons :
Swords(faster attack speed)
Blunts(more Def)

P.S. It is highly recommended to go with one handed weapons as a shield adds much needed defence. With the same monster, i take about 1-5 damage with a shield on but 20-30 damage when i took it off.
(Author's note: all 3 type of weapons have the same attack so just go with one that you like or whichever looks cool to you)

Fighter -> Guard -> Swordsman/Mercenary

Skills :
Weapon Training - 5 (leave it at lvl 5. 15sp for 4% attack is ok. 40sp for another 3.75% is not)
1 Handed Training - MAX (attack passive)
Strike attack - get to lvl 1 till lvl 20 get to lvl 6 and max it before lvl 40(your main(only) attack skill)
Enhanced HP - MAX (max hp passive. recommended for all tankers)
Fighter Heart - 1 (maxed)
Blunt Defence - MAX (if u are a mace user)
Heavy Armor mastery - MAX (adds quite a bit of def)
blessing Shield - add or don't add(def buff)
Blunt Shield - 1 at least (boss fight/PvP skill. works well with body check later)
Bloody Sky - 1 at least (AoE)

Elf Fighter Guide

The main reason for choosing the Elf race is because of its defensive style. Elf Fighters are more defensive while Human Fighters are more inclined to the offensive side. Elf Fighters who choose the tanker path are able to take enemies 5 levels higher.

Stats Build And Skills

Pure Tanker Build
Pros : high defense, able to tank, high HP, do not require HP potions
Cons : low physical damage

Add purely VIT and you will have very high HP and defense. Attack enemies that hit you for 5 damage and below and with your HP at around 500+ when you are level 20, each time you take 5 damage, you will recover about 7 or 8 HP, thus health potions will not be needed.

Hybrid Tanker Build
Pros : average defense, HP, and damage
Cons : consumes some HP potions

Add VIT and STR in the ratio of 5:2/3. This means for every 5 VIT, put 2 or 3 into STR. You will have good defense and at the same time decent damage. Defense will be lower that Pure Tanker, however, your attacking damage would be higher.

Pure STR Build
Pros : high physical damage
Cons : low defense, HP and consumes lots of HP potions

Add purely STR and you will be similar to Human Fighter with a slightly lower damage due to the single handed sword that Elf Fighter uses compared to the dual handed sword that Human Fighter uses. However, you may use a shield for extra defense.

Stealth Build
Pros : high critical and evasion
Cons : low defense, physical attack damage, HP and might consume some HP potions

Add purely DEX and your evasion would be almost similar to a Rouge. Enemies attack would not be able to hit you most of the time, however, you will be slightly weaker than the other builds.

Strike Attack - Poison attack which drains 50 HP at level 1
Enhanced HP - Increases HP

Leveling Place

Fight enemies that are 3 or 4 levels higher than yourself and by doing quest, you should be able to get to level 20 in about 2 and a half hours.

Equipments

Buying armour from the store at would be enough.

As for weapons, buy weapons at alternate requirement levels as the physical attack difference is rather minimal. This means after buying a level 5 Sword, skip the level 10 one and only buy at level 15.
