how to become a guard?
create a fighter, reach lvl 20 and do the corresponding job quest. there's one for Guard, and one for Warrior, but you can't take both so choose before hand :D BTW, can any1 tell me if I can do, Fighter > Guard > Swordsman > Knight > SwordMaster? I'm making one right now, and I'd like to know if I can do this. Swordmaster = Dual Wield @_@ yay!

warrior is for 1vs1 with two handed weapon (work best with humans), Guard is for aoe with one weapon and a shield (work best with elf)

hmm, not much can tell from all the job because most people are in job stage 2 and stage 3. most question asking which one better and most people just don't know. there're a ton of job combinations.
anyway, human better STR but low VIT and elf got same STR(lower than human) and VIT(higher than human).
stage 2 jobs, warrior better 2H and high STR and guard better 1H and shield and VIT.
just sharing my thoughts. comments?

You might consider a higher VIT if you choose Warrior....and a higher STR if you choose a Guard! DEX is not a bad choice either, because that raises your Accuracy and Critical Hit Rate!

Of course you are a noob... The Warrior is the one who use STR and the Guard use VIT... The Warrior is used to high damage and the Guard is used to tank (receive all the damage)...

And Str
Vit Builds kill by out tanking the Damage dealt to them and dealing Damage in a slow but sure manner
STR builds will kill you faster but have less defense.
Dex builds Rely on flee and Criticals
Wisdom is for Regeneration and Mana pool, it also adds Mdef (so Fighter base builds add this stat as well)
Int is for magical damage and increased heal in lower levels of the said skill. :D
For the Armor Question. There are certain Armor Skill Masteries in the game. If I remember correctly all characters can wear all equipments (not too sure) but will not be able to make good use of the weapon as they do not have the required mastery on the weapon.
Example: Fighter has a skill of Light armor mastery which will only apply for Light armors
in another Job class there is a Heavy Armor Mastery that is intended ONLY for heavy armor. Same goes for other masteries, you don't wear the armor intended for your mastery you don't get the armor bonus.
Another thing to note is that you can go a long way without adding any stat hehe. I once made a fighter that had no stats until level 20 but of course why wouldn't you add stats? What I'm saying is that there is a lot of versitility in making Characters as long as you have the equipment suited for your level.
The reason why Warriors add strength is to increase their damage further. It's not wrong to make a Vit Warrior, dealing damage and tanking at the same time or guards adding strenth so they can tank and Deal damage just the same.
This game actually favors both Hybrids and Pure builds. It's really balanced if you know what you're doing ^^

Death Knight vs Rune Knight (vs Lord)
they are best at what they do but I think who is better that is debatable. It is like a spear that pierce through everything versus the impenetratable shield. It will vary then at your stat and items. It is n00bish to say that there is a best job in Luna

A: You have to go to the Job Upgrade NPC. (I'm not sure for all but the first at least is Wiff in Alker Harbor).
Q. What level do I have to reach?
A. This is pure ignorance. It says what level you need right on the left side of the chart -_-... I'm not trying to be mean but come on!
Q. Which is better ******?
A. Guys, this game was made giving choices. It wasn't made to follow the "Best Path". There is no best path. If you want to be a defender, go with the Guard class to begin with and than on another Job Upgrade go with the Defensive one, it tells you what the classes do. These classes are all the same, but with different aspects. Attacker: Unstoppable Force Defender: Unmovable Shield. Which one do you prefer to be?
Q. Does armor type matter
A. Fighters: Can use any armor, (I think Rogue's can't use heavy, I haven't tried it) Mages can only use Robes. (Well you can use armor, but it'll hurt. Stick with Heavy Armor if your a Fighter Type, it'll help you the most.)

you cannot find the best character in any game. players with good characters just used their instict to play the game use your common sense. just play the game and have fun it doesn't really matter if your weak or strong in this game as long as you didn't break any rules / hurt others with foul words. just play it as it pleases you.....

well all, this what i did with my fighter:
first i change into guard-infantry-phalanx-paladin for the stat i use full int. for me it's a little bit useless if you use str nor vit. str-1h wielder has less dmg, defensive type char-infantry without vit=still a tanker, int-maximize your holy avenger and holy strike dmg since both of them are magic skills. it's true i'm still 68 infantry but i can get bloody scimitar+7, aegis+7 and a set of heavy armor+7 without spending real money since i can farm wherever i want with my def and dmg. enjoy it and prove it
one more thing guys, magic skills will never MISS and I have ever beaten a 75 gladiator with my infantry
